Love and Support

At Alpha Omega Center we believe that every mother has the right to love and support during an unexpected pregnancy.

What does that mean, exactly?

Well, we begin at the very beginning. Mom comes to us scared, nervous that she might be pregnant. We talk to her, encourage her, get to know her, and then we do a pregnancy test for her.

If the test is positive, and it often is, we offer her an ultrasound. Throughout the exam we ask if she's OK, is she comfortable, can we get her anything. If she seems distressed or upset we slow down until she is ready again. Her comfort is paramount.

As we wrap up we make referrals for her. We help her find a doctor, we help her figure out the next steps for health insurance. If she needs other help we make sure she can get what she needs. We also refer her to our parenting program and introduce her to the staff that run that. We show her the items available and ensure her that we're here for her.

If she signs up for classes she'll learn about her body and her baby and she will also earn items for her child. Throughout the process she will learn about the love of Christ. These classes and items will be available for her until the baby turns four.

What if she chooses abortion? Well, we don't think that's a healthy choice. However, that doesn't mean we stop loving her. She knows she can come back again if she needs help or if she is upset. We have a post abortive Bible study that will help her find healing and forgiveness through Christ.

To us, this means that we're the hands and feet of Christ in this young woman's life. We don't want any client to leave us without being profoundly impacted.

We believe that every mother deserves this love and support, especially when her pregnancy is unexpected.
